OPPO Find 5 Mini (R827) launched in Malaysia

OPPO Find 5 Mini

Besides the Oppo N1 that was launched today, Oppo Electronics Corp. also officially made its Find 5 Mini smartphone available in Malaysia.

With such measurements — 137 x 68 x 7.75 mm — it houses a 4.7-inch qHD display which is at a more acceptable size, however the resolution is skimped to only have 960 x 540 pixels at around 234 pixels per inch. Its 128g weight is also 37 grams lighter than its larger sibling, the original Find 5.

Powering Android 4.2.2 and its Color OS skin, is a MediaTek MT6582 SoC, a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU, Mail-400MP GPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, and a microSD slot that takes up to 32GB-sized cards.

The imaging department is handled by an 8-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera, with a 2-megapixel front.

Just like the N1, Find 5 Mini also ships with Android 4.2.2 and Color OS, allowing one to draw gestures on the touch display to launch the camera or other preset apps.

The battery has a 2000mAh capacity. Oppo Find 5 Mini will be selling for RM998.

With the launch of four smartphones at one go, Oppo CEO William Fang said that he and the company “hopes to become good friends” with mobile users in Malaysia, knowing that we now have over 42 million mobile phones in the country — that’s a 143% penetration rate. The company is already on schedule to open its Low Yat Plaza flagship store by the end of this month, with more outlets to follow.
